By using state-of-the-art technology during your treatments, we can provide you with faster and more accurate diagnoses as well as more precise, comfortable and effective treatment.

The technology used in our office includes:

Cone Beam Imaging

Cone beam imaging is a type of 3D imaging technology used to diagnose and evaluate a number of dental conditions and plan your treatments. It provides a comprehensive, three-dimension reconstruction of your teeth, mouth, jaw, neck, ears, nose and throat, giving our dentists a better understanding of your oral health and which treatments may be needed. Cone beam imaging may be used in a number of different treatments, from planning your dental implant placement to assessing TMJ disorders and evaluating the progress of orthodontic treatment.

Digital X-Rays

Digital X-rays are a versatile imaging technology used to capture images of your teeth and supporting oral structures. They work using a digital sensor to capture these images and instantly transmit them to a nearby monitor where our dentists can view them. X-rays are used to diagnose and treat a number of problems, including tooth decay, developmental abnormalities, cysts, abscesses, tumors, bone loss, infection, improper tooth root positioning, fractures and tooth damage. The captured images may also be used to plan root canals, dental implant placements, oral surgery procedures and orthodontic care.

Digital Panoramic X-Rays

Standard digital X-rays provide our dentists with a view of a few of your teeth and their supporting structures. Panoramic X-rays offer a much more comprehensive view, capturing images of your entire upper and lower dental arches, including all the teeth, the supporting jawbones and the surrounding facial structures. Panoramic X-rays use a machine which rotates around your head to capture high-definition images quickly and comfortably. These images can then be used to analyze your mouth, evaluate any existing conditions and plan your care.

iTero® Intraoral Scanning

Our dentists and team use iTero® intraoral scanning to view 3D images of the inside of your mouth. The scanning process involves passing a small wand over the inside of your mouth. This wand quickly and comfortably captures images of your teeth and mouth. This scanner captures up to 20 images per second in full color, making it easy for us to distinguish between healthy and diseased tissue. These advanced digital scans are then used to build accurate digital models of your mouth, allowing our dentists to create appliances and restorations that fit and function better. The captured images can also be used to simulate your treatment outcome!
